NLG’s Story

NLG – Navigazione Libera del Golfo has played a vital role in connecting ports along the captivating Neapolitan coastline for over eight decades. Its reach extends to renowned destinations such as the enchanting island of Capri, the scenic Sorrentine peninsula, the stunning Amalfi coast, as well as the Pontine and Tremiti islands in the Adriatic Sea.

The company’s roots run deep, being currently overseen by a Sorrentine family with a rich maritime legacy dating back to the 17th century.

A more recent chapter in NLG’s history began in 1953, marking a pivotal point that set the stage for significant developments.

Notably, in 1981, NLG – Navigazione Libera del Golfo Ltd. commenced a transformation of its fleet. This marked a significant modernization effort that revitalized its traditional ferry fleet and introduced 11 high-speed crafts. These modern vessels, with capacities ranging from 300 to 700 passengers, now weave across the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, facilitating essential connections. This comprehensive network efficiently serves over a million travelers annually.

In a strategic move towards diversification, NLG has recently expanded its operations beyond conventional transportation to introduce a luxury “cruising & events” division. A remarkable transformation was undertaken with the iconic vessel “Patrizia,” converting her into an exquisite motor yacht. This reimagination now caters to day cruises and special sea events, showcasing the mesmerizing beauty of our regional landscape.

In addition to the day tours featuring the “Patrizia,” we present an exclusive opportunity for private cruises aboard two luxurious yachts. These bespoke experiences are meticulously designed to cater to individual preferences, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the region at your own pace.
